| In 2012, we leased a Gallery composed of 6 empty shops and a cafe and arranged for all the frontages to the units to be removed, to create an open-plan trading area. A few months of bricks, mortar, cement and dust and hey presto The Green House Market was born!
The Green House building, is a quirky ‘one-off’ – which suits our ethos – we source items which we then upcycle bestowing an individual ‘uniqueness’ to them. Often referred to by our customers as an ‘Aladdin’s Cave, the Market is crammed to full capacity with Vintage Retro Antique & Contemporary Homewares and Collectables!
Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation provided this wonderful, unique, shopping venue. As we developed our concept, one which was very new to Letchworth. they were very supportiveWe believe in community interaction, support fledgling business when we are able and welcome volunteers and people looking for work experience opportunities in retail or furniture restoration.
